To me, EWP is: EWP is a skilled team of architects and designers specializing in workplace environments. We prioritize responsiveness, efficiency, and fostering strong client relationships to deliver well-designed, highly functional spaces that bring joy to those who use them. Personally, I find the dynamic nature of my job and the people I work with to be the most fulfilling aspects of being with EWP. On the client side, I believe my honest feedback is valued, as well as my ability to manage flexible, demanding schedules.

My path to architecture and design: As a child, I always had a knack for the creative, but it wasn’t until later in my education that I discovered how to apply my appreciation to a career. My first CAD course in high school introduced me to the world of architecture and engineering, sparking my interest in these fields. While engineering appealed to my technical side, it lacked the creative fulfillment I sought. By committing to architecture, I found a role that fulfilled me on all fronts.

My role at EWP: As a Principal Architect, I am one of the primary leaders of our firm. My responsibilities include ensuring project success, providing leadership to others, and making overarching decisions regarding project details and scheduling. Additionally, I serve as EWP’s Technical Director, where I focus on advancing the overall quality of our drawings and other project-related documents and processes. I also provide staff with technical guidance, in areas such as code compliance and constructability.

Outside of EWP: I spend most of my time with my daughter, Ava. Lately, we’ve been enjoying building Legos together. My hobbies change often, but I’ve always loved traveling. And while not always proficient, music—especially playing the piano and guitar—has been a constant part of my life.

“My interest in the technical aspect of design first sparked when I enrolled in a CAD course back in high school.”
