Generation after generation, the Prudential Plaza, or Two Pru, remains a resilient trendsetter offering flexible, functional working environments. With the goal of changing the perception of what Two Pru could be for mid-size tenants, EWP was tasked with designing a two-spec suite with a hospitality look and feel that could easily be combined into one large suite if needed.

How to maximize views of Lake Michigan from the 25th floor in both suites, while providing two suites both individually unique in their own right, yet similar enough that, if combined into one unit, their aesthetics would blend seamlessly together.

To achieve the desired hospitality look and feel, EWP focused on designing an arrival sequence in both suites that would create sense of destination and community. Entering through large communal spaces featuring integrated greenery, comfortable breakout areas, and warm finishes provided a welcoming, home-like atmosphere. By using an open perimeter design and keeping all offices and conferencing within the interior of the suites, EWP maximized views of Lake Michigan from the 25th floor while allowing bright, natural light to resound throughout the space.
