TTo me, EWP is: EWP is a group that truly understands the importance of well-designed spaces, particularly in the workplace. We have created numerous diverse environments, each unique in look, feel, and function. Our team is passionate and dedicated to taking the time to understand our clients, ensuring that we create spaces that meet their unique needs.

My path to architecture and design: I have always been fascinated by the built environment. My education journey began with a degree in civil engineering, where I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Early on, I applied these skills to a career in construction management, where I grew to love the process of bringing ideas from paper to a tangible form. All the while, my creative interests thrived, leading me to pursue my passion for the arts. I have developed several series of paintings and exhibited them throughout the United States. Later in my career, I decided to combine my passion for design and the arts with my strengths in problem solving and went back to school to pursue a masters degree in interior design.

My role at EWP: As a Lead Interior Designer, I play an influential role in every stage of the design process. This includes collaborating with clients from the initial development of space plans, design concepts, and selecting finishes, through to documenting the design into construction plans, and managing the general contractor during construction.

Outside of EWP: When not at EWP, you’ll often find me in front of my easel, working on my next painting. I also enjoy tending to my garden, cooking, and embarking on new travel adventures. Living in Chicago allows me to explore the vibrant art scene, rich culture, and diverse cuisine that this fabulous city has to offer.

“I have always been fascinated by the built environment.”

To me, EWP is: EWP is a team of highly talented professional problem solvers who understand the importance and nuances of workplace design. We strive to understand and design according to our clients’ needs from aesthetic, functional, and economic standpoints.

My path to architecture and design: As a child, I remember being positively impacted every time we visited a new restaurant or unique space. During high school, I found it energizing to create abstract artwork that had not yet been imagined. I have always loved problem-solving and systematically finding unique solutions to challenging situations. When it came time to choose a career, interior design appeared to fit the criteria I needed to stay fulfilled. Several years and many happy clients later, I am confident it was the right choice.

My role at EWP: As Lead Interior Designer, I help anchor the Nashville office which services both Nashville and other areas of middle Tennessee. Establishing relationships, expanding our local presence, and making a thoughtful impact on workplace design in a rapidly growing real estate market are some responsibilities I am tasked with. Additionally, I navigate design solutions that align with clients’ budget and objectives, ensuring success both aesthetically and functionally. From initial meetings and space planning to developing concepts, specifying materials, and monitoring construction, I strive to find the best solutions that positively impact our client’s workplace in a rapidly evolving market.

Outside of EWP: You will always find me keeping busy. At home, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, gardening, creating art, practicing yoga, and working out. When I’m out and about, you’ll find me trying out a fun, new restaurant or hitting the dance floor somewhere.
