Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Masters of Art in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design Chicago. LEED Green Associate.

To me, EWP is… a group of talented individuals, each bringing their unique skills to work together as a team. We specialize in workplace design and partner with our clients to develop distinctive solutions that meet our clients’ needs functionally, aesthetically, and economically.

How I came to architecture and design… I found a unique path to interior design. My education began with a degree in civil engineering, where I gained strong analytical and problem-solving skills. After obtaining my degree, I started my career in construction management. All the while, my creative interests thrived. I spent many years and much of my free time as a fine artist, creating and exhibiting oil paintings. Later in my career, I decided to combine my passion for design and the arts with my strengths in problem-solving and went back to school to pursue a masters degree in interior design.

My role at EWP… As Lead Interior Designer, I play an influential role in all aspects of the design process. I bring a creative approach to problem solving through design. Working with clients from preliminary programming and visioning through to the final design, documentation and construction administration.

Outside of EWP… Living in Chicago, you will often find me exploring the great art, culture and cuisine that this fabulous city has to offer. When at home, I am often working on my next painting, gardening or relaxing with my husband and two cats.

Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design from The International Academy of Design & Technology. Registered Interior Designer in Illinois. Professional member of IIDA and ASID.

To me, EWP is… my home away from home. It is a place where I can continually explore my passion for architecture and design with friends and colleges. We are a full-service architectural design firm that specializes in workplace environments. Our practice is based on a collaborative approach and outstanding project leadership. We work with our clients to create and design a strategic environment that is unique to their needs.

How I came to architecture and design… As I think back on it now, my passion for design began at an early age. Many hours were spent crafting my own Barbie dreamhouse. Cardboard boxes, construction paper and wrapping paper became the building blocks for creative experiments. I experienced a pivotal moment, during my junior year of high school. A spring break trip to Italy, with my mom, made me realize the passion I have for design. I remember coming back from our trip and feeling strongly my future would be about design. My continued inspiration and passion for design has been influenced, over the years, from opportunities to travel throughout Europe and China.

My role at EWP… revolves around design thinking – developing design concepts, selecting finishes, specifying furniture, and preparing drawings for projects. I manage our material library, which intimately connects me to materials and design ideas.

Outside of EWP… I am a daughter to two of the most loving and supportive parents and mom to the sweetest beagle/jack russell. When I’m not at work you can usually find me on my treadmill, sailing on Lake Michigan, enjoying time with family and friends, or planning my next trip.
