To me, EWP is: EWP Architects is a highly talented, close-collaborating team of architects and designers who are exceptionally responsive and deliver a truly personal level of service.

My path to architecture and design: My path into design began with an early interest in furniture making and an appreciation for craftsmanship, form, and function that naturally led me into the broader design industry. Immersed in the furniture community, I was drawn to the enduring influence of the mid-century modernist movement and its balance between art and utility, as well as to the work of artists like Carl Milles and the legacy of institutions such as Cranbrook Academy.

My role at EWP: As a Lead Designer, I’m involved in every phase of a project—from meeting with clients and preparing space plans to developing contract documents, selecting furniture and finishes, and overseeing construction. My experience across commercial office, hospitality, and multi-family residential sectors allows me to bring a thoughtful, blended design approach to each project.

Outside of EWP: I’m an avid traveler, particularly throughout Europe, and I always try to have my next trip planned. I enjoy cycling, especially long rides of 50+ miles. My latest interest is pickleball, and I recently became addicted to playing this growing sport. I also love spending time outdoors at our Michigan property, whether doing yard work or refinishing furniture, combining my passions for hands-on work and being in nature.
