To me, EWP is… a group of professionals that are exceptional at what they do and work very well together. Using their artistic collaboration, the EWP team looks at an empty building as an artist’s palette and creates spaces that are not only ultramodern and beautiful, but also one that encourages a sense of belonging and a desirable work environment.

How I came to architecture and design… Being new to this environment, I can say my past life experiences have made me unafraid to learn and try new things when opportunity presents itself. At an early age, I helped my mom care for my quadriplegic father. We were always looking for things to invent and build that would make his life easier. Through his verbal instructions only, my dad taught me countless mechanical lessons and allowed me to learn through my mistakes without judgement. I learned how to listen and keep trying until I got the result I was after. I realize that because of my dad, I am a lifelong learner and able to take on new challenges. EWP was looking for someone willing to wear several different hats as an operations manager to allow them to streamline the process. The lull in the real estate market was the opening I needed to enter this exciting new world.

My role at EWP… Among the many varied responsibilities as Operations Manager, I see my most important contribution is to ensure all operations are conducted appropriately, ethically and in a cost-effective way that supports this amazing team and its client base.

Outside of EWP… I enjoy all things outdoors; hunting, fishing, boating and touring the trails on my UTV or 4-wheeler. I also enjoy my grandchildren and experimenting with food to create unique dishes for family and friends.
