To me, EWP is: EWP is the perfect blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving. It is the thrill of seeing a client’s unique vision turn into a custom design that exceeds expectations and the deep trust built through consistent excellence.

My path to architecture and design: Pure chance! After a career in sales and marketing for international airlines, I switched industries entirely. Since then, I have worked at several architectural firms in Chicago, organizing large project teams and coordinating complex projects from initial design through successful closeout.

My role at EWP: As Studio Manager, I touch every aspect of our work. I support the team wherever needed; creating efficiencies, streamlining processes, and adding a bit of fun. I have affectionately dubbed myself the “octopus lady,” with eight arms juggling multiple tasks! That means comprehensive studio support, project coordination, organization, leadership assistance, and anything that keeps us moving forward smoothly.

Outside of EWP: I volunteer as an architectural tour docent at two National Historic Landmark buildings in Chicago. I also love exploring twentieth-century history as an avid reader and researcher of World War I and World War II both in English and German.
