Ron, has been practicing architecture for more than 30 years .  His larger than life presence makes for a enjoyable and productive experience.

Ron came to learn about construction at an early age, heading out with his neighbor’s dad to his residential construction projects.  Enthralled by the evolution of a building, but finding the back of his neighbor’s pickup truck uncomfortable, Ron vowed to become an architect to design, not build buildings.  From  seventh grade through high school he took every drafting and drawing class available, even persuading his teacher to create independent study courses when the school could offer nothing further.  Ron loves to draw, to space plan and design.  He loves bold colorful artwork and is excited about the physical craft of making architecture.

Ron graduated from The University of Illinois at Chicago School of Architecture, with a Bachelor of Architecture in design degree.  Since graduation he has worked in both residential and commercial practice, with several prominent Chicago firms.  Ron developed an expertise in corporate interiors after a long term role as an in house architect for a major Chicago financial institution.  Therein it was his responsibility to realize the design goals while balancing the finances and facilities management.  Ron’s clients include law firms, building owners and managers, financial institutions, REIT’s, Fortune 500 companies, technology, health care and food service corporations.  Prior to founding EWP Ron was as a senior architect in an interiors practice.

As a principal, Ron is responsible for the tone and temperament of the office.  He ensures the needs of clients are the primary focus and as a licensed architect, Ron is also the architect of record for many of the firm's projects.  In his free time Ron inspects the turf conditions on many of the Chicagoland golf courses and enjoys browsing art and design shows.
