Rooted in a background of hands in engineering, John enjoys thinking outside the box to make the most out of the least. He has a passion for details, focusing on an understanding of materials and how they can best come together.
John pursued an interest in architecture, earning an Associate’s Degree at the College of Dupage, a Bachelors of Architecture/Built Environment at Bowling Green State University, and a Master of Architecture at the University of Illinois ar Urbana-Champaign. His academic pursuits centered on a technological approach to sustainable architecture, mixing building tectonics with innovation from external fields. As a research assistant, John compared the fluid dynamics of passive ventilation in 18th century buildings with their contemporary equivalents, furthering his interest in efficient design.
As an Architectural Designer at EWP, John aims to be versatile, assisting in all aspects of the design and construction process.
Outside of architecture, John enjoys photography, metal work, and exploring the local culinary scene.
